Joy is a Chicago native that move to the Tampa area November 2019. Joy started working in the veterinary field in 2010 at a full service animal care center as a client service representative. After a few months of working there she was promoted to veterinary assistant where she was able to learn her basic skills and expand her interest in veterinary medicine. She assisted with orthopedic surgeries, CT scan, MRIs and became their overnight emergency veterinary technician.
After working there for 4 years she became their hospital manager. After two years of managing she wanted to go back to being a veterinary technician so she started working as a technician at a 24 hour emergency hospital for dogs, cats and exotic animals. She has worked with reptiles, birds and pocket pets. She enjoys surgery and exotic animal medicine. In her spare time she enjoys going to the beach, taking care of animals, reading and volunteering at the local bird sanctuary.
